Billionaire, TD Ameritrade founder, who purchased the desperate publication the Gothamist was betrayed when his newsroom staff chose to unionize. In my opinion, these reporters who also ensure views in order to sell ads, are closer to self serving promoters than pure reporters. Many of them are now laid off. I’m for both money and unions, neither of which is well represented by the characters here (article). Good he fired those nerds and he ought to rope off that radioactive archive.
Updated: In one article a Gothamist writer calls a local restaurant a drug den (“I told many Italians outside my favorite drug den in Trastevere”) and links to its Yelp page (article). Traditionally, guide books might say ‘party atmosphere’ and ‘young patrons’.
